The History of AGBC:
All God's Beautiful Children began as a photography project in May of 2007, when AGBC founder Stacia Davis set out on a quest to photograph the beautiful children of Thailand.

Her journey led her to a remote hill tribe village, high in the mountains outside of Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand, where she ended up living for over a year. During this time, in addition to working on her photography project, she worked as a volunteer English teacher at the village school.

Shortly after arriving in the village, Stacia became aware of the challenges the children of the school faced due to a lack of available school funds. Her primary concern was the health and safety of the children due to nearly inhabitable and unsanitary conditions of the school dormitory and kitchen. She immediatly began trying to raise funds to rebuild the dormitory and kitchen and after an amazing journey in which she found an abundance of love and support from donors all over the world, in May of 2008, the children moved into their new dormitory and began cooking meals in their new kitchen (see Projects for more details).

During the course of her stay in the hill tribe village, Stacia came to understand that rebuilding the kitchen and dormitory of her village's school had only begun to scratch the surface of the deep needs of the children in the hill tribe areas of Thailand. It was upon this realization that she decided to take her photography project to the next level.

In June of 2008, All God's Beautiful Children became an official non-profit organization registered in the state of Washington and began taking the necessary steps to become a 501(c) tax exempt organization which is working to build schools in the hill tribe areas of Thailand where there are not yet any schools for the children to attend.
